I presume that the Evo 2 either didn't sell or was withdrawn as there is no mention of it being sold... if that changes, I'll post an update.

The only car that missed it's estimate by miles was the Elvis owned one. Maybe he's losing his touch...

A few of us were well-out with the Sl60 then!

If you take off the 15% buyers premium that brings it down to nearer £14k which is the bottom estimate. Personally I wouldn't have spent that much on it....

Any idea how much the yellow carbon cobra went for ?

The Corniche convertible and the Azure convertible were nice too.

As were the Countach and the Testarossa.

Yellow cobra - no details
Azure - same
One of the 2 corniches sold for £59,800
Countach £84,000
Testarossa £35,600

Sounds cheap for a Testarossa...

I was so tempted by the white pagoda .. but could not get the money together quickly enough to bid :(

Agreed - I cannot believe it went for that money.

Auctions are odd things - I have seen cars go for way over the odds, and more than a few instances of traders buying them and then sitting in the classifieds for ages, with the price gradually falling.

on the EVO2 have I read the description correctly it implies no history pre 1999 and with such a high estimate, or is that no UK history?

Can't believe that someone paid that for the SL60!

LHD, loads of non-original bits (1991 car but with a mish-mash of MY98 bits - ie replacement boot lid, side plastics, bumpers, but not all (mirrors etc?)), very 'questionable' interior colour, etc.

I thought it was originally up for less than that as a Private sale?!

Personally, I'm surprised it made much more than £10-12k tops.

Will
