Bonnet emblem

Can someone tell me how to remove the star bonnet emblem on my 2000 CLK 320,in process of stripping car for re-spray after replacing rust rear wheel arches and front wings,as it’s a convertible it’s only like bottom half,but to save issues from paint match I’ve decided to do it all.

Well you have the normal bonnet star,all you need is a pair of pliers and if you look at the connection under the bonnet you will see that if you twist it to correspond with the opening in the bonnet it will pull off.
