So far I have not seen any Mercs sporting this attachment. Mainly Japanese cars have these. Also Aussie cars like the Holden and even the Aussie Fords have them. The Korean cars have them too. Why not the Germans? Whats wrong with them? The cars do need this type of protection and mine already has quite a bit of s/chip damage to the front of my 1994 and 1997 C180s. The most hit areas are above the grille and headlamps and on both sides of the grille. I have contemplated using the 3M stick-ons which I have bought in a roll, but tracing out the shape and cutting to size has been the greatest problem so far. The fitting may be a lot easier and faster, but a good result will be spoilt by the stonechips already on. The chips will hold airpockets with water droplets in them. If I were to repaint I have to wait 6 months for the paint to cure properly. If I treat the stonechips with fill paint, they have to cure also for some time. Help me guys!
