Bonnet pull cable has snapped-how do you get to the catches to release them?

My Bonnet pull-cable has snapped on my 99 e-300 td,so I have nothing to pull to open my Bonnet.I got the passenger side to pop just before the cable broke Any ideas on how I would release the other catch or get access to it?

Under the Bonnet.Got it solved eventuallywith a Blanket over my head an led lightand an 18inch screwdriver.Peeled back the rubber around the headlamp and could see the catch.Managed to move the side release on the catch and the bonnet popped .What a relief!New catch fitted £21.00 Mercedes.Now both filled with grease.
