Bonnet pull handle need replacing

Hi everyone

as some of you might know that i only started driving a merc less than 2 weeks ago, and i am not very mechanical minded. Just find out the handle of the bonnet release is broken, think it is only a small job that i can DIY, so I went to Euromerc to buy the parts for the w202.

but it arrived it is a thin grey handle whereas the broken is a red rectangle handle........

so can anyone tell me will it fit on to a w202 c230k or will i need to get a new one and return it back to euromerc???

also someone who have done this kind of job before, can u give me some tips as to how to change it plz

you are talking about two very different items.

The red handle is the one that pulls the bonnet release from inside the car. The part you have ordered is the pull you use to finally open the bonnet!
The latter is the more common one to fail.

There's a very short time limit on editing posts. Use the 'contact us' button at the bottom RH corner of the page to send a link to one of the administrators requesting they remove your email addy.

I'm sure http://www.mbclub.co.uk/forums/members/nick-mercedes.html will be happy to accept the return of the 'through the grille' bonnet pull handle & sell you the £7 red one from under your dash you need.

parts ordered from a local garage, but it cost me about £8 which is slightly more expensive than the MB dealer, but i guess i dun have to drive 20 miles to get it
