Bonnet sound proof material

Sorry if this is the wrong thread but it is near the engine, I just noticed there is no insulation material left under the bonnet, there is none in the boot either- should there be? I'm wondering, should I buy the the stuff on ebay or is there a genuine Mercedes part?

There will be a genuine MB part. I bought one earlier this year for my W202, whether they are still available for the 190 is different matter. Mine cost approx.....£130 IIRC.

The 2.6 insulation is expensive from mb

The 2.0 is alot cheaper from mb

Febi do one for the 190e [ebay again ] . You will need special glue to fix in place .

Are these Febi ones acceptable? I found one but its in Latvia but says they are original? ebay item

Pip i looked at the item sure looks original to me . And a bargain ,as you say cheaper than Febi . I will see if he has one for the W124 for me mine is not to bad yet but rough on the ends .
