Bonnet Star

Well I’ve gone and done it. Replaced the flat emblem with a Mercedes upright chrome star.
I rather like the look of it, some of you won’t, (W1ghty) sorry mate!
Bought the star from Edinburgh Mercedes via eBay, ordered yesterday delivered today.

It looks out of place to me. Have to agree it looks better with the grill/bumper change but that's only my opinion. If you are happy with it that's the main thing.

Looks good ruby. I think the the star on the bonnet looks better than the star on the grill.

I wasn't sure how it would look and was worried about it being too much of a temptation to the local lowlife fraternity, so being a tightwad, I went with a lower value version .

I wasn't sure how it would look and was worried about it being too much of a temptation to the local lowlife fraternity, so being a tightwad, I went with a lower value version .

Now that can't be true... it's a photo you downloaded from the Internet... in fact I traced it, and this was actually another Turner Prize winner for Tracey Emin...

I agree, and I have considered it for my car, though on the W204 the Elegance grille was very uninspiring and actually makes the car look worse (IMO), so I held back on this project and as result I have no bonnet star. Which is a shame, because unlike the W205, on the W204 a grille swap to Elegance is a 10-minute job......

Thanks Spiky, it’s Hyacinth Red with a very light grey and black interior.
There are pics somewhere else on forum, if interested, it’s supposed to be quite rare combo.
