Has anyone had vents/louvres punched into their bonnets to help with reducing under bonnet temps ?
Would it even work/help ? Not for looks! I have no issues with any heat probs but thought more cooling is good....

Cheers
Lee

The undertrays also have strategic venting. Adding spurious bonnet vents could unbalance the design and actually reduce the cooling?

Cheers guys
Thinking about it you are right, Air in thru the grill then sucked out the big rear vent is already doing the job. I’ll have to stop laying awake thinking of more mods..

Easily the best cooling mode I've done. You will struggle to find a fabricator with a flypress big enough. You can do it with a waterjet though.

It's a way of channeling hot air from high (front) to low pressure area of the bonnet (top). You won't reduce anything but you will get rid of the hot air that is about to be blown over your engine and air boxes. Nearly every race car has them, not to mention AMG GT3.

Hi Alex, have you any pics with where you have put in the vents ?
I'm going to go through your build thread and look.
Thanks
Lee
