Boot fuse location no? W211

[CIL 7015]

My boot release will only open manually, 3rd brake light, number plate lamps showing as malfunctions. All started since I lubed the lock. Any suggestions?

check the wiring behind the panel in the l/h/s of the boot, near the hinge. a very common problem on these cars, expect a broken earth cable at least (large brown one)

THANKS FOR TAKING THE TIME TO DESCRIBE THE LIKELY FAULT, YOU WERE SPOT ON. JUST FINISHED REPAIR TO BROKEN EARTH ABOVE REAR FUSE BOX. SAVED AN EXPENSIVE TRIP TO THE MAIN STEALER.
