Anyone know a good source for a boot liner that covers the whole boot.Preferrably solid plastic.

There's a trader called Areches on eBay who does made-to-measure full boot liners in washable fabric for about £60 delivered. I bought one for my C270 estate and a neighbour got one for her 08 E estate. He does not have anything listed for MB at the moment, but you can email him from one of his other listings - his name is Ashley Bagshaw and he's very helpful.

Another vote for the ebay ones, I bought one for £13.00 from eternalcar, and yes it is a little cheap looking but is covered by the load curtain, and never seen. It will only get oily anyway..

I've got a load of genuine bootliners that I'd love to see the back of.

Only problem, is that due to size they need to be collected.

For example:

euromercwebstore: Boot Liner

I've got them in various shapes and sizes for almost all the models.

Plastic bootliners

Hello

I bought a heavy plastic transparent bootliner that fits in the boot of my w126 from Halfords. I also bought a set of 4 matching plastic mats for the interior and now my boot or car mats never get wet or dirty. The only thing I have to do is occasionally vacuum up little bits of grit/stones that get through.

i got a taylor-made boot liner from ebay for about £25. This was made for the W124 and had about a 2inch "wall" around it.

I later managed to grab a bargain on ebay of a genuine MB W124 boot liner. This was only £12 so i got it.

HOWEVER i think i prefer the aftermarket one - the wall is smaller round it so you can still open the side compartments (ie the spare wheel and washer fluid compartments) - on the merc one the wall is so high you cant gain access to them very easily. I still am using the merc one just because its genuine merc but i was 100% happy with the other one.

this is the seller where i got my W124 liner from if it helps...

I almost fell through the floor when I was charged nearly £100 for the genuine MB item for my 211 estate, but the quality is excellent - well worth it (and, of course) it fits perfectly.

I also used EternalCar on eBay, was about £30 delivered.

Fits excellently, has a good 2" lip around it and has a huge piece of that strange non-stick rubbery padding in it, which is fantastic for stopping stuff sliding about the boot.

I'd not have paid £100 or more for a genuine one as, to me, the benefit of a boot liner is that it's cheap and disposable if I spill gearbox oil or paint or whatever on it. I don't want to be cleaning it because a replacement would cost almost as much as the boot carpet itself..

I got one for our ML from the dealer. It's the short version, ie it's the boot floor and then returns up the sides a couple of inches. They do a deep one too, which has ...errr ...a deeper return!! :D

Cost £35 I think.

I have a solid plastic one for a W210 estate I need rid of - about a foot tall on three sides with a 2" lip in front of the tailgate

If you have no other use for them, they make excellent sledges,if you wax the bottoms......:bannana:

I use a Carbox 1057. It has been really good and is a high sided solid plastic type. I bought it for my 05 E class estate and to my suprise it is still very much in use in the 08 ML. It fits perfectly!
With the addition of a slice of Flotex carpet, it makes an ideal 'barker bin';)

Those carbox liners look identical to the ones you can buy direct from MB - same cost, too!
