Been having a few probs recently with the car alarm system on a 98 W202 sport where indicators flashed continuously.
Had it fixed by getting a guy from my local mechanics to by-pass the alarm system but still allow all other electrical functions like central locking to work.
Anyhow, today, I popped the boot as normal with the key fob and then later on tried to re-open it to get some stuff out and it wouldn't work.
So tried pushing the lock to open it manually and that didn't work either.
Internal release catch......not worked!!
So, finally unslid the key from the key fob housing and tried to insert that into the boot......doesn't fit....only goes half way in!!!
Seems to fit and unlock, albeit quite a stiff procedure, the drivers side door.....but not the boot!!!
Anyone know what I can do to manually get into my boot?
Anyone else have this prob and know how to ket key/internal release working again?
Thanks
