Boot Release Spring

Hi guys, this seemed like the most relevant section but please move if im wrong...
I have a 2005 C class and when i pop the boot from the key it just pops open a little bit rather than go up all the way like it should, the springs are on the last hole but it still isnt lifting it all the way up like it should.

Any comments welcome...

Sorted, I have replaced the springs with new ones, the old ones had just lost the pull in them and these ones lift it like magic!
