Mercedes cc220 estate 2009 tailgate malfunctioned now in a semi locked position . How can it be manually opened ,no key on this model and i can not see any access after climbing in the back only a small 2/3 mm square hole in the lock area . Help please thank you in anticipation .

This taken from my manual (2013 S204) - apologies for the rubbish wonky scan!!
Thank you for your help looked in the hole for the key insertion point even opened the hole a little wider managed to open the tailgate a little brute force removed the lock nothing visible, can only assume in the past spurious look fitted. Thank you for your efforts.regards Andrew
