bosch or pierburg maf??

I've searched the forum to try and find what type of maf is fitted to the w210 e300 and couldn't find anything, is it bosch or pierburg can anyone tell me?

If it is Bosch can i still fit a pierburg?? pierburg seems to be cheaper but higher quality...

Hi Simon, the best way is to go to Pierburgs web site where you can check if they do one for your car. Its not an easy thing to check out

It's a Bosch item. You could try the Pierburg unit but that is a digital output and the Bosch is an analogue output.

That doesn't mean it wouldn't work, but you might have to be the Guinea-pig.

It could throw up a fault code.

well i know the CDi's take the pierburg... not sure on the E300..

Thanks Malcolm, slightly annoying as ive had an A Class MAF/ECU unit sitting at ECU Exchange since before christmas and they have only just diagnosed it yesterday..

these guys are down the road from me!! oh well..
