So will Steve post his brim to brim calculations, as he was asked to do?
That might be educational.
Even brim to brim is not always conclusive of how much of any difference is attributable to a remap.
When I remapped my wife's B180 CVT it showed an increase from 39 to 43 brim to brim (within 2 mpg of computer). However the map was done in Spring as the weather was warming and the milage topping 5K. The extra economy could easily have been due to these other issues.
However I am totally convinced that real world economy gains are possible from remaps and this is based upon several remaps I have had done, my research, and my 35 year experience of combustion technology and logic controllers. I'm not however an expert in vehicle remap technology thus would love a real motorsport type mapping expert to offer some real advice on this thread.
