Boy racers not signalling and tailgating an inch from your rear!!

I drove from Newcastle to Leeds tonight.

I got into Leeds, and up pulls a Corsa with 20 inch rims behind me. Music blaring and he was cutting here there and everywhere.

I applied my brakes when i realised he was getting dangerously close. He then backed off. Jumped into the other lane. Hazard warned me. Got behind me and then flashed me.

I let the fool drive on. After a 90 minute drive i could not be bothered to confront the toerag.

Crazy person.

btw i am 27, am i being stupid for not condoning this behaviour?

I feel as though some people are not fit to drive..

They are everywhere. You can't escape them. What bothers me is, they get away with it and you go slightly over the speed limit, by accident, and you get 3 points and a fine.

This came from a young guy in work who also doesn't use indicators when changing lanes or turning in the works van.

apparently "its GAY to use indicators" !!!!!!

Unbelievable I know, but he also has another motto ...

" its safe to pull out (enough room) in front of another car (side road etc) as long as you cant see the white of the drivers eyes"

Ive seen him in action and it just begs belief, who knows where they get these from, is it part of the tutition???

I do not react or respond in any way, if I have one of them behind me,then I will turn off and rejoin the road after they have gone, I have never blown a horn in the last 30 years,in fact I had to fix the one on my 129 as it was not working for the MOT

I understand your annoyance but is that really wise if he is too close already?
Maybe slow down gently but surely not brake if he is right up close??

Weirdly enough someone did this to my mate Dave the other night , he was cruising down Teddington High Street with his collegue in a black Mondeo ...

A booming Corsa flew up behind him , inches off his bumper , the bass shaking the shop windows , driving really aggressively , foglights and blue LED washer jets on

Dave pulled over and let him past , then pulled out behind him as the Corsa accellerated noisily up the road with it's baked bean can exhaust ....

Dave put his foot down and quickly caught up with the Corsa ( Mondeo ST220 ) and when he did , he turned on the blue strobes hidden in the grille and ruined Barrys night ....

Emma had a comming together with a astra the other day. The 17/18 yo driver got out of the car and threatened to kill her.

I found him later that week.

I think I taught him a lesson.

I just warned him never to threaten my GF again in a manner that he understood. No physical contact was made, Well....not much.

I blame the lack of police on the roads.

Its entirely possible to drive like a complete tosspot and escape the attentions of speed cameras - the only visible 'enforcement' on our roads.

What this problem needs is more people like Howard's friend Dave!
