Despite trying my hardest to get insurance for a full Brabus converted D6 S class (320cdi) none of the quotes were even remotely reasonable so I've bought a 06 S320 cdi with 44k miles.
I know the cars not slow, but I would really like the Brabus chip in it at the very least and have a few questions:
1. There is about 9 months warranty remaining and after this I would probably go for an extended warranty. Would the installation of the Brabus chip affect the price I get for a extended MB/warranty direct warranty for afterwards? I wouldn't hit the 60k miles by the time my original 3 year warranty is up.
2. I've read on a thread here that MB don't recommend this chip for cars with more than 20k miles. What's the reason for this?
3. Can I get it cheaply from a third party (ie ebay) and get MB to install it without it affecing my warranty? Or do I have to have it purchased AND installed to retain my warranty?
