BRABUS 190E 3.6 24V and Skoda VRS
I have a slight misfire when i accelerate hard. The car is fine when driven around town.
Is it the HT leads I think they have been on the car from new, that would make them 17 years old.
Considering the age of the car should I change any other parts of the ignition system.
The car is a 1990 Brabus 190 3.6 24v I think the engine is a modified 103

i would recommend a change of plugs, leads, distributor cap at the very least and that should cure it and give u peace of mind for a few years to come!

Do as Jaymanek recommmends and you might want to check/renew the heat sink compound on the EZL ignition unit on the inner wing also.

It is also easy to mistake fuel shortage with miss firing when it spits back.
