Brabus performance chip for c220

hey guys just a quick query as I am new to Mercedes. Picked up my first one 2 weeks ago a 2012 c220 cdi Sport but what I have noticed in the handbook I have found a receipt for a brabus performance chip fitted on the car in 2014 now from what I can find online this gives a car a healthy boost in power but what I want to no is how do I actually no this is on the car without having it put into a dyno? Can this be checked via the trip computer or any other way? Thanks in advance.

If it’s not visible in the engine bay, perhaps call in to your local dealer to ask them to check.

The word you are looking for is 'know' not no.
And to find out if the chip is still fitted then ask your main dealer to check it for you.

It's likely to be a tuning box, and they'd be tucked away under the engine cover, with plugs going to the fuel rail pressure sensor.
Apparently they cost nearly one and a half grand.

This would be the kind of thing to look for.

Where would it be located?

As suggested, take a look under the engine cover for a box similar to the one shown in the link above. You may need some special “star shaped” sockets to remove the cover. If you’re unsure, or don’t have the tools, then I’m sure your local dealer would take a look - it’s a five minute job, if you have the tools and know what you’re doing. Perhaps enquiry about a service contract, and mention this whilst you’re there, they may get a technician to look if they sniff a potential sale,
