BRABUS ROCKET 900
Brabus has released a massive upgrade program for the Mercedes-Benz S65 AMG available for €347,719 (including car).
Premiering tomorrow in Geneva alongside the S63 AMG Coupe-based Brabus 850 6.0 Biturbo Coupe is a heavily reworked S65 AMG Sedan powered by a V12 6.3-liter (up from 6.0) twin-turbo engine delivering an enormous 900 HP (662 kW) and 1,500 Nm (1,106 lb-ft). However, torque is going to be electronically capped at 1,200 Nm (884 lb-ft) to preserve reliability. All that power will be channeled to the rear wheels via a seven-speed automatic gearbox updated by Brabus to handle the added muscle.
After the upgrades are implemented, the heavily tuned S65 AMG will rocket to 62 mph (100 km/h) in only 3.7 seconds, making it 0.6s quicker than the standard super sedan which has 630 HP & 1,000 Nm. The 0-124 mph (0-200 km/h) task will be accomplished in 9.1 seconds en route to a top speed of more than 217 mph (350 km/h) whereas the standard S65 AMG is electronically capped at 155 mph (250 km/h).
Aside from getting a substantial power bump, the high-performance sedan has received an aerodynamic body kit with clear coated carbon fiber bits and pieces. 21- and 22-inch Brabus Monoblock alloys are also available along with a bespoke air suspension lowering the S65 AMG by approximately 15mm. The interior cabin can also be massively customized with the tuner’s iBusiness multimedia system, 400 km/h speedometer, aluminum pedals, stainless steel scuff plates and various upholstery options.
Not like it matters a lot on such a car, but the Brabus Rocket 900 consumes 17.1 liters / 100 km (13.7 mpg US) in the city, 8.6 liters (27.3 mpg) on the highway and 11.9 liters (19.7 mpg) in the combined cycle, with corresponding CO2 emissions of 279 g/km.
