It has been for sale forever at that dealer and was at a couple of Mercedes dealers for about a year before that.

The trouble at the moment is the dealer itself -just Google them and you'll read less than glowing reviews!

Talk about depreciation too! Yeah, I understand the chap has a colourful past and liked his cars.

All that aside, I'd buy it if I had a spare £80K - that's some car .

its not the only one in the country though as I saw one at a funeral of all places a few months back !

Yup it was punted around various M-B dealers originally including Ascot (where I saw it) and Brooklands. Once a car like that is no longer the 'latest and greatest' model it loses a lot of its attraction for the kind of people who are likely to want to shell out that sort of money. And at 6-7 years old it's hardly a "classic" yet.

They seem to get hold of some of the best cars you can buy but in the worst possible condition.

As said though if there was £80k lying around I'd buy it.
