Went to Bradford today, in a very short space of time saw 3 lots of pikeys with horses and carts collecting scrap, and noticed loads of ponies on verges etc.

    What's that all about then?

Not enough stolen new Transit tippers to go around?

Perhaps they were on a day trip from Doncaster.

I don't mind traditional horse and cart pikeys if i'm honest.

It's the stinkers in the transit cage vans that upset me.

I know of a lass that eloped from school on the back of one of those horses.

    How we laughed.

Trust me, Bradford would be glad for us to descend on them, it would bring a bit of class to the place.

No, we're what the Guardianista's like to call 'salt of the earth folk' i.e. poor people that know their place, and those from Bradford are just 'of the earth'...

The horsey set are those that reside in the 'golden triangle of Yorkshire'- Harrogate, York and Wetherby.

Quite right. We're salt of the Earth. They're not even that. Monosodium Glutamate of the Earth, that lot...

Ripon, Thirsk. More racehorses than humans, and more racehorse breeders than in Ireland.

Talking about Pikeys, we got our local police news flyer yesterday and there was a reported theft of a washing machine from someones drive.

Who puts a good washing machine on their drive?
