Brake/accelerator pedal adjustment

Hi,

Since I bought my E280 sport (58) the position of the pedals have irritated me. The issueI have is that the brake pedal sits about an inch higher than the accelerator pedal.

Does anybody know if it is possible to adjust the position of the pedals?

I've never owned a car where the brake isn't higher than the accelerator.

I think it's deliberate, so you're less likely to go on the gas when you want the brake.

This way if you can reach the throttle, you can definitely reach down on the brake pedal. If they were the same height you'd sit slightly further back and might not be able to make full use of the brake.

It just seems odd that there is such a noticeable difference. I drove the latest E63 in December and the pedals were more inline, height wise.

I just wondered if there was some adjustment in the pedals. Maybe raising the accelerator slightly.

I recently acquired an E280 Sport (09).
After years of running W210 E-class cars - I also have found the accel / brake pedal position slightly awkward.
Not enough to start trying to change things ....... But - awkward.
