I've recently sold my BMW but it needs tidying up before the owner (friend of mine) collects it in September.

They are 18" CSL reps with stubborn brake dust on the fronts.

Whats the best stuff to remove it? I've got AutoGlym Alloy Cleaner which does not removed the stains.

Any other ideas? I don't want to damage the rim laquer so not sure what to use.

Thanks.

I use Meguairs Alloy cleaner .... its kind to the wheels...If really stubborn then Wonder Wheels - but be careful with it ...try it on a small area and see what you think.

Mr muscle oven cleaner, seriously good stuff and it really works.
Spray on leave a couple of minutes work in with brush wash of and try again until all crap removed.

And then you rinse it off thoroughly :)

I find Wonder Wheels is best for baked on brake dust.
