Brake light switch

Hi all,can anyone tell me the location of the brake light switch on a 2003 slk230(r170) and is it easy to swap over for a new one?

Drop the panel under the drivers side dash.

It is operated by the brake pedal , when you push the pedal , it pushes the switch , it is easy to see once you are in the footwell.

Removal takes 2 secs ( 1/4 turn and out it comes , undo connector ) , refitting takes 5

Yep , and the A class lol.

If I can fit them , anyone can !

Do either take the old one to the dealership or take your vin as there are a few variations from car to car.

Lol!- had a brake light bulb go last week,so ordered the switch from euro car parts for just over a tenner(ESP/abs light now on).
