Brake lights staying on

Hi guys, I have an S class 500 w220 with brake lights staying on with ESP and ABS lights the diagnostics is saying it's the brake light switch which I have replaced with a genuine switch from Mercedes the gear selector is clicking when the brake pedal is pressed but brake lights remain on any help would be much appreciated thanks
