Brake Malfunction Light

Hi all, just after a little advice, yesterday my EClass 280 showed a Brake Mulfuntion light, this was after the car was left for a day, the light went out after a while but today came back again after been left on the drive for a day!

I read on another post that it could be triggered by low voltage from the battery, I think the battery could be up to 6 years old?

Anybody have similar experience?

average life of a battery is about 5 years. i would change it . by the way i always put on it a date that i purchased it then i know when it is approaching replacement

I'm now thinking it could be the SBC.

I just opened the car with the fob and there was a a loud notice from what sounded like the breaking systerm trying to charge itself, I then turned the car over and I got a red warning light saying breaking malfunction go to workshop, i also got a message saying my SBC was not avaiable.

After about 5 mins and a couple of turn overs all was back to normal.

Anybody agree it's the SBC that needs replacing, I understand that replace free under warranty?
