Brake pad wear sensors- do I have them and do I need to change them?

Hi might be a bit of a bone question but does the w211 have wear sensors as standard? And do I need to change them with the pads?

Also can you trust them or will I be damaging my discs by the time they activate?

Yes they have wear sensors as standard and yes you should change them with the pads. (They are often included with brake pad sets from dealers).

They should work ok and won't be damaging any discs when they come on but I wouldn't waste too much time have them changed once the light is on.
