Have been told my rear brake pipe has some slight corrosion... very minor but been told to clean it up before it gets worse as it just starting to show.

Whats the best way to do this? and to ensure it does not come back?7

Struggling to understand why a 4 year old would suffer from this....

Because some of the basic components Mercedes use are junk. Clean the pipe up with wire wool and grease all the pipes heavily with water pump grease.

Give the affected pipe a good scrub with a wire brush to remove any dirt and rust, then smear the pipe with grease. :thumb:

Cheers guys, someone mentioned waxoyl?or is that not necessary?

Not necessary, grease is best for brake pipes, and fuel lines. Waxoyl is for the protection of the cars underbody which should be fine on a 4 year old merc, I hope.:)

Waxoyl is much thinner than water pump grease. The grease is easier to apply and will stay in place better. Waxoyl, or preferably Bilt Hamber Dynax cavity wax is perfect for preserving box sections
