Hi all,

Much to my surprise. The new tyres I had fitted have worn down quicker than I expected. Reason being that I had new Continental Contact 5’s on my BMW 320 D but they lasted around 30k miles.

Has anybody found that the S001’s wear out quicker than other brands?

I drive sedately and hardly ever put my foot down.

Thanks

30k miles is exceptional, even if you drive sedately and do lots of motorway miles.

I can’t comment upon your Bridgestone tyres specifically, but depending upon whether you’re talking about the driven wheels or not, and which model of car, 4mm at 10k miles sounds reasonable.

If it’s your rear wheels then I wouldn’t feel short changed if I were you. Perhaps switch back to Continental if longevity is important to you.

It’s the fronts. I was trying to work out from others here if they had any thoughts on the tyre wear I was experiencing. Obviously different cars wear out tyres in different ways.
