Brilliant wax for dark cars

I've just tried out Poorboys Nattys Black Paste Wax and I'm very impressed. Looks even better than the pics.

Yes an old school wax that does the job.. I've not waxed for years, all about spray sealants and quick detailers for me these days..

Very nice .
If the car has any small swirls you can always use Poorboys Black Hole first before the wax .

There is still something to be said for a proper wax applied by hand. The Poorboys products are all really good as a range to be fair, nice and easy a bit like Chemical Guys. Looks really good OP.

I was about to say the exact same. Purple Haze Pro or Blue Velvet Pro.

My favourite from them is their Supernatural Hybrid although they have separated their Supernatural into another brand entirely. The hybrid and pro waxes will last really well.

Another Poor Boys user here, for a proper lasting shine i use the Black Hole first then get involved with the wax ..... My car is Black ( and luckily so is one of my Bikes! )
Your car looks lovely ...... which reminds me i need to give mine a good going over!

I have the Poorboys black hole and will be using it next time I'm giving it a detail.

Do i just apply as directed or do I need to do something to remove the wax first?

Well the wax will wear off in time , so ideally the black hole will be applied to untreated bodywork .
Wait until the wax stops beading water as a sign it has gone ?

I won't be waiting that long

This stuff would be a good starting paint prep .

It uses fine cut diminishing abrasives to gently hone the paint surface without troubling tough, modern clear coats. Almost like a liquid clay bar, it removes oxidised paint, ingrained dirt and due to its abrasive nature, light swirls can be removed - this is most noticeable when it is applied...
