Brodit Mount with Tom Tom Go

I just ordered a Brodit mounting platform (652025) and mount (215027) for my Tom Tom Go, to fit on the center air vent of my W202. Has anyone done the same and can confirm that the mount won't damage the dash/air vents as Brodit's website says? Any pics of your install would be good too. Cheers-Jimbo.
