broken central locking

my central locking has packed up today on my c180 coupe,when you try and unlock the doors the button goes up and down really fast about 5 or 6 times but doesnt unlock .
whats neeeded to fix this and how much should it cost ?

You need a new door lock on the side that does the machine gun noise!

I cant remember the cost of the lock exactly but I think they are £130 ish so not to bad.

thanks , its the drivers side thats gone . i got a 3 month warranty up to the value of £300 when i bought the car so hopefully it wont cost me anything .

how long does it take to fit one ?

The labour time is a couple of hours IIRC
