Hi all,

I'm a member on a few Mercedes forums, but recently joined this one in order to follow other members who have W124 4MATICs. They're very difficult things, so got to stick together!

I planned to start a topic in the 'restorations' section of the forum, as I think this car is special enough to deserve a full resto (not all at once - but certainly over the next few years), but I don't think I'm allowed to post there yet.

Lots of things to do until it's up to my standards. I use it daily and have covered about 1500 miles since I bought it in August, including a trip around North Wales and up to Scotland. I'm looking forward to making it really nice.

I'm also a fan of 190s. I have a highly specced 2.0 as well as previously having owned a 2.6.

Hi

I have a fully restored 1987 300te 4-Matic

This includes:

A full bare metal paint job in the original colour and Glasurit lacquer.

Replacement full leather Sportline leather interior.

Engine and gearbox full rebuilt

Suspension re-bushed.

Original and correct wheels & tyres.

I featured in a six page spread in Mercedes Enthusiast Magazine.

It still costs me money.

Hi Bruce, thanks for commenting. Your car looks great!

Your restoration thread was actually the main factor for me joining the forum. Hoping to learn from you and other follow 4MATIC owners.

Funnily enough, I've seen that magazine article. The K184 OFM (the bornite 2.0 Sportline) is owned by my best friend.

Nice car. Welcome to the forum.
