thanks will, was a bit worried about trojans etc
going to stick with ie8 , better the devil you know [ at my age ]:thumb:

I can't understand anyone still using slow and bug prone IE. :dk: Firefox or the even faster Chrome rocks!

I only use firefox as I sync bookmarks and passwords etc across 3 computers + useful plugins like adblock and flashblock

Not tried Chrome but heard good things about it.

I use Safari on my Imac and Windows laptop.....

Have to say...I switch from ie8 to firefox after all the chat on here saying it was 'faster' better' etc etc. Stuff Firefox!. back on ie8. Too much intrusion for me. Wouldn't do half the stuff I'm used to ie8 doing.

Better the devil indeed.

Another vote for Chrome here, I use that on all my windows machines and safari on my Mac.

I swapped back to IE8 from FireFox after a few years "on the Jedi's"... The dark side is surprisingly fast nowadays, and much nicer (imo at least)...

Oh yeah, and my employer's website doesn't support FireFox, neither does the timekeeping system (QuickArrow) nor does the expense system (Concur), nor a whole other range of services...

I tried chrome during the beta, got frustrated with the monochrome (monotone?) colour scheme and constant crashing...

IE8 FTW!

I tried Chrome when it first came out. Whenever I was on t'internet I noticed the HDD never stopped spinning. It turned out that Chrome was continuously reporting back to Mothership everything I was doing 'so as to better help me with carefully selected advertising'. Seems I had agreed to it on installation.

Needless to say the portion of my HDD on which it resided was alternatively magnetised.

I did the same when it 1st came out, I have recently (6months ago) re-installed it and its my browser of choice. You get various options to opt out of when you install it.

CHROME is the best thing since Netscape. I love it!

Just had this on mine - it unpinned ie8 from the task bar - the list of browsers is long - some I have never heard of.

Has anyone tried the more obscure ones on the right of the list?
