My E350 Coupe went in for B service today, greeted with the news the FNS Alloy is buckled , they took a video of the wheel whilst spinning it up on the ramp, I never noticed any vibration or side affects through the steering wheel whatsoever . New Alloy £296 but they are on back order from Germany . On the way back home stopped off at a well regarded wheel repairer and refurbisher who took the wheel off and put it on their machine, he said he has seen a lot worse and reckoned it could be straightened , he called the damage a flat spot caused by pot hole  . Searched the forums and found some varying views on having Alloys repaired, the wheel shop said the Alloy will be heated up and reshaped and reckoned a hopeful perfect repair. Checked out alloywheelsdirect who say this Alloy wheel is now unavailable , so its down to a repair or Dealer back order :dk:

Repairs no big issue IMO, loads of cars driving around with buckled wheels, its the state of our roads and an inbuilt lack of awareness to spot the the bloody holes in time.......
Had two done on my previous CLS and did notice the difference after....

I dont understand low profile tyres on our potholed roads

Local Government pension funds heavily invested in Rubber commodities.

Ive got two buckled on mine and could feel a light vibe through the steering when i lighly touched it.

Bugged me so much i had to put them to the rear which has solved the problem for abit but really i will be either changing the wheels or getting them repaired.

Find a local pothole which shouldn't be too difficult , take a picture and stick in a claim along with the evidence from MB as the wheel never buckled itself.

Why should you be out of pocket when the roads are a complete joke regarding their condition.

UPDATE
Took the buckled wheel into BA Alloys Norwich , they straightened the damage at the rear of the wheel, new valve and balanced and sprayed the inside of the wheel £60. Gave the car a good test run all seems good now :thumb:
