Cant see any threads on this concept...

Rumours suggest that the Bugatti Galibier 16C has been approved for production and will go on sale around 2013 at a price of about £900,000 (€984900, US$1.4 million). The Galibier is a four-door concept car that will probably earn the title of the world's fastest sedan.

It shares its 16 cylinder 8.0-litre powerplant with the Veyron but its power will be detuned from the coupe's 747kW (1001hp) and 1250Nm of torque. Although power will be less, top speed is expected to reach 220mph. Driving the wheels will be a new 8-speed automatic transmission fitted in place of the Veyron's DSG.

Bugatti did not exhibit the car at the recent Frankfurt Motor Show but there were some details revealed after the exclusive private showing. The interior for instance, features a very minimalistic design that is uncluttered. Expensive wood and leather are evident throughout the cabin. One cool feature is the Parmigiani timepiece on the dashboard which can be removed and worn via a leather strap.

Looks like the love child of a Bentley Coupe and the new Porsche 4 door thingy, with an Alfaish front thrown in for good measure.

Loose the polished metalwork and I think that's a pretty car.

Is that gonna be front engined? I wondew how many Bentley / Porsche parts have been reused...

Is it just me or is that totally crap? Surely if you can afford it you can afford to have a Veyron and a Maybach rendering this monstrosity useless.

It looks a little too 'bling' for my liking. I'm sure I'll see some around Georges Hill by 2014 then....

If you have £1 Million to spend on a car practicality doesn't enter into it...you can have whatever you want...you either like it or you don't.

Personally I think Maybachs are horrendous vechicles (aesthetically).

I quite like this - even with the chrome :) If someone can afford it, I'm sure they can afford to hire someone to keep it clean too :D

Its doomed! Ford Edsel radiator styling.

looks rubbish and those 4 exhausts look like a clio mod.

Also why would they charge almost same price as the coupe which CAN do 253mph and has more horsepower? just because it can seat 4?

If it can only do 220mph then the Brabus EV12's, S65's and Brabus/C-class CLS's are still slightly quicker :)

This is just classic automotive art. It's where the felt-tip fairies got to live out their fantasies with scant consutation with the engineers or the real world.;)
Whether it is fine art or not is in the eye of the beholder:devil:

The idea of having a split rear window and a chrome windscreen bar are nice touches but are impractical in the extreme.
I have owned a car with a split rear window (a la Mini Clubman estate) and I can say that not having total rear or forward vision is distracting as a minimum. To actually create blindspots as part of the inherent design is rather stupid IMHO.
Remove the chrome look side panels and it would look OK but it lacks the WOW factor of is two seater sister.
I can imagine that a car like this has been produced with at least half an eye on what some premiership footballers currently are buying.
How long before there is a blinged up Bugatti rival to the Range Rover or Escalade ? ? ?
Its all totally irrelevant to 99.999% of us who live in the real world.
And I wonder if there will be an option list?
