build quality

Like the above, NO problems worth worrying about on mine either.

I had a W210 before also very good.

thanks again all :p
i am a little sad, i do miss my old c class and the mbz badge
BUT i love no trips to the stealership and how lexus can do a service for £90 all in is fantastic
i do hope mbz get the quality a1 but i do feel its going to take some time. :( :(
my boss has a new e class and yep he is changing it for a lexus
he has put all the staff at the stealership on his christmas card list because he knows them all by first name lol lol lol :D

I've just been checking out the new Lexus (small one)?! which comes out on the 15th November - looks astoundingly good and many many extras as standard...

Just bought my first Merc. E300TD (see general threads-rattling E300), not at all impressed, gearbox rattles on deceleration(pressure on the lever stops it), trim rattles at all road speeds (mainly dashboard) and very annoying rattle fom under car when hot, and this can be heard over the CD player at normal listening volumes. I had a Nissan almera that rattled the roof light, but once fixed- no more rattles. Dealers? not interested, its too old and done too many miles( 1999-T 43000 full merc history). I will most certainly not buy another Mercedes, I fell into the 'reputation' trap. these are modern times where bean counters have the last say. My 'mercedes Benz' is all the proof I need. Its been a learning experience but one that will not be repeated. In my opinion most modern cars are of the same reasonable quality, your ego will determine the badge you display.
