Built in single electric oven and electric hob

My own bug bear is that the built in appliances need to have the fake door front refitted and every time its a real pain as the holes never match up.
^^^^ This. In the past I can also recall having more hassle with odd brackets and sprung hinges to attach the front panel.

In the end, the theoretical distance was of the order of 15mm vertical between the hob underside and the oven carcase. No problem yet - all works fine.
Rerouting the electrics was not necessary but I did bury the backboxes into the concrete by another 5mm, changed the back box, and sank the socket partly through the plasterboard to fit flush with the back box. The oven was also hardwired into a new outlet -saving the space of the 13a plug. The hob cable was cable tied to the work surface underside and to the plasterboard well away from the oven. Everything works fine.
