Hi All,

I just tipped oil all over my engine and I mean ALL over it. I've already been shouted at by the office facilities manager so please, no more pointing and yelling.

However, a fair bit is on the exhaust manifold and I was wondering whether I will become a chariot of fire on the way home or will it just evaporate off as I go?

Cheers for the help.

It won't evaporate - that's for sure!

It will smoke like a pig though - best try to get as much wiped off as possible before you start it (or indeed start it now & leave it running (& smoking) in the car park - perhaps slighlty less embarrassing than stopping at the lights in your cloak of invisibility!

Cheers for that, man I am such a plum sometimes :(

I shall be ready with my "They all do that officer" retort on the way home.

Assume you did actually have enough to go in the engine too?
