buying a ML270... any tips/things to be aware of?

evening folks!
I've viewed 6 ML270s over the last few days, all 2004/2005 models, every one of the had rust of some description, 5 of them on the arches and the other had a couple of scabs on the door.... is this a known problem or am i looking in the wrong place?
Where should i be looking for a good example? Currently just searching Autotrader to be honest, are there any good prestige dealers around?

also any advice welcome with regards to anyhing i should be looking for on the ML270.

front ball joints
leaking diesel injectors

Gearbox pilot bushing was leaking oil on mine (2005 35,000miles)
Most of the oil was trapped in the undershield so no tell-tale drips on the floor.
Gearchanges became erratic until deteted, fixed, oil replenished.

Warning lights ABS, BAS, ETS/ESP warning lights on dash
Glow plug lights


Those are the three things I had on mine
