Whilst passing half an hour browsing various car websites I spotted a rather nice car located at a main dealers in Belfast.

Just wondering are there any implications/pitfalls/procedures to follow when buying a car in Northern Ireland and bring it back to sunny England?

Not a big deal, just keep NI reg docs etc and register it over here with the normal paperwork..

Will need taxing and MOT'd before you drive it of course.

If it is an older car just check for bullet holes and blood in the boot ;)

A minor point - a Northern Ireland MoT is valid in England, Scotland and Wales. Is the vendor the Mercedes agent? If so, it is owned by an English outfit which in turn is owned by a US company !

It's actually a Jag :-o

I've bought all my cars in NI...never a problem.

Someone I know bought his last car from NI and is having all kinds of hassle from dealers when looking to trade it in.....inevitably, they look for an excuse to undervalue and this gives them a golden opportunity.....
