hi guys can you please help me !

I want to buy a w221 07 plate has alot of options ,he wants 6800£, 75k miles . He said he s got full service history at mb . Transmission oil changed like 4k ago but he needs a service and brakes done . Is it worth it to buy this one ? to make the service and brakes or to buy another one ? at this 75k i heard that the seals from oil need to be don is thia true or no ? And what problems i can expect at this miles ? Thank you very much !

The mileage doesn't really come into it at this age unless the car has done a VERy high mileage (as in over 150,000)

On an 11 year old car it's all about what has been done and has it been looked after.

A low mileage car that has been neglected is far less desirable than a higher mileage car that has been well maintained.

You don't say what engine / variant you are looking at within the range.

Treat the requirement for a service and brakes as a bargaining point if you like the car. Auto box fluids change is a good thing. Check history and invoices for work done. Above all check bodywork and interior for damage and repair.

75,000 is low miles on an 11 year old car. For me, condition and history are where you should be focusing your attention.

I sold my 2009 with 63k miles last month for less than that.

This one is a 320cdi , a friend of mine has one same and at 80k he was needed to replace the seals because was leeking oil from everywhere wich cost him arround 1200£ . And to be honest i would pay little bit more to be better than to have problems in 5k miles . I don t know what to do .
Is that real with service once a year even if you didn t done to much miles ?? Thank you boys !

Google Mercedes injector Black Death and see if your model is affected. Otherwise an 11 year old diesel could have any number of issues with it. Buy on condition and check everything. A degree of luck will always come into it but you can minimise the risk by checking carefully. If in doubt get it checked by a specialist.
