But... is there a guide on this site to buying an MB?

I mean in general terms and also the specific?

otherwise do a search on the model, plenty of info here.

I think General where most people most the "I'm looking at xxx, whatr should I look out for?" questions. Nowhere else fits the bill really.

I'm looking at getting hold of a w124 merc, but that's about all I can say for now. Oh, and an estate diesel.

Maybe I need to put forward a bit more info than that, but it's a funny one, you don't know what it is you don't know, sort of thing. That's really why a guide might have helped.

But the Parker's site will be a start.

Actually, I don't think the mainstream sites such as Parker's and What Car? go back that far (probably only covering the last 10 years or so).

I may as well start with this one, then, the only w124 on the Bay, diesel estate, and pretty much the sort of money I have available.

Thoughts? Or is there too little to go on?

There's some info on the 'honest John' site which is run by one of the newspapers - can't remember which one , but they have buyers guides for all Mercs way beyond 124's
