Bye bye Mitsubishi Eco

Another "bell end" who thinks AWD makes him a good driver.

That was classic, what a silly person!

Still we all know if it was a quattro system he would have come out looking a legend

Next week we will see the biker do something equally stupid, seen from somebody else's dashcam.

Bell end? I think it's a case of "takes one to know one".

A very good friend of mine owned an Evo VIII and it was simultaneously the best and worse car I've ever driven; hilariously fast, turbo lag embarrassing, clutch like a block of granite, looked like a 12 year olds wet dream, service costs were ridiculous....

I nearly bought it off him but the (racing?) clutch was impossible to live with day-to-day and was his reason for selling.

A very shady character from Brum bought it off him and wrote it off on his way back home.

They are a strange car to own for sure and need a certain skill set to exploit its potential, certainly I dont possess those skills. I once was convinced to get a six paddle clutch to cope with uprated torque, worst thing I ever did made the car in a my novice hands very grabby. In the end I sold the car three months later, as it happens to a dodgy guy from Brum

Developer?

So he turned traction control off? Why? Never understand why these idiots turn off traction control for the 0.1% more oomph they think they'll get because they can't feed the power in properly, and then not have a system there to fix your mistake before you've realised you've made one...

I turned the ESP off in my old CLK430 to do an 'epic power slide' out of a wet junction once.

I'll not do that again. :o

Nothing beats the righteous indignation of someone with a helmet cam. However they were as bad as each other. Evo was so lucky not to do serious damage there!

I'm not an apologist for bikers but can't really see what the rider did wrong.

^+1 Apart from stepping smartly off the line, the biker was in the correct lane. The Evo is quite clearly in the lane for taking the first exit on the right - A556 Manchester. He effectively cuts across two lanes to go straight ahead.

Same here.
Apart from waving to the car driver in an unusual manner, I didn't see anything wrong there.

Not really, a bit of common sense, and a some basic car control.

Problem is many that drive 4wd cars think they're invincible.
I drove STI Impreza's for years and I can tell you that they bite when provoked.

One of my pet hates .

The Evo was using a clearly marked designated right hand lane to avoid queuing and knew he was going to exit left - very irritating indeed.

He was going to make the jump from the lights regardless of the biker.

Bell end sums it up for me :thumb:.

A friend selling his Evo6 ended up with a 19yo lad as the buyer. Didn't even last a week before it was upside-down in a field.

Ted. I believe he was signalling that he likes dry bean coffee.

It's the universal sign for calling someone a "Gareth Hunt"...
