Hello everybody,

newbie here.

I like your site very much, so I decided to ask you for advice.

I recently bought a 2008 C 220 Sport Estate :bannana: I was in nirvana, but it did not last long. Here´s why:
When I test-drove new C 220 in official Mercedes garage, I was very impressed by its power/acceleration/torque, and also by very smooth and precise automatic transmission. But after first drives in my own car, I was dissapointed. My car lacked all of the above - it had less power, weaker acceleration and the transmission was not working as smoothly as in the test-drive car. One can ask, why I bought the car... So I went to local indie to check the car. He said it is completely normal C220 and that I most problably test-drove C 250!!! It is quite possible, here in Belgium they can confuse anything...
So now I am considering a remap. And here comes the question: have you guys any C 220 remap succes story to share? Particulary as regards power/acceleration/transmission smoothness and preciseness. In other words, is a remaped C 220 comparable to C 250?

Thank you very much for your possible inputs!

Kind regards,
CH

One thing to note is the 2008 C220 CDI has a 2.2, 4 cylinder turbo.

The 2009+ C220 and C250 have a TWIN turbo 2.1, 4 cylinder.
