Here is my question

I have a C Class 220d 2014 AMG sport plus and I want to upgrade the lights to the new multibeam headlights

I don't care to much about the full functions of the lights, the intelligent side, I just want them to turn on and do the job my own lights do,its just for the new look tbh

So basically, I want to know if someone can code them in to operate as fixed working on my car and a cost for this please

My vin is WDD2050042R015973

The lights I will be putting on the car are Used OEM I have them
part numbers
A2059069305 passenger
A2059061806 Driver side

Just need to know if you can code these in

Many thanks in advance to all who give advise

It would probably be a lot more than just coding, certain functions won’t work if other functions aren’t dialled in with physical components etc

In essence any MB specialist with STAR and online subscription should be able to do that.

Depending on where you are based, forum sponsors www.comandonline.co.uk in Lightwater (off the M3) can do SCN coding, you could ask them for a quote.

Correct, my experience is that if you SCN code an option or an option pack, then it programs the SAM, and the SAM then looks for the option and its sub-elements.

So if any of the other elements are missing, the SAM generates a fault code for the non-existent elements.

Normally, the fault codes will only show when the car is scanned with STAR, so slightly annoying but not a major issue, however in the case of the headlamps, it might generate a permanent fault code on the dash, which obviously isn't great.

Reminds me of a question I saw posted recently, about a windscreen that the enquirers insurance company (after replacing windscreen) wouldn’t then pay out for calibration, so the owner essentially asked if it really needed doing as the sensors didn’t do a great deal and could do without?

Needless to say, he definitely wanted it calibrating after explaining what those sensors do!

I called these people yesterday and emailed my info to them, they said they would have a look and get back to me,as I say im not looking for the ILS to work as it should, I only want the lights to shine on the road like my own ones do and for the nicer updated look I can live with a code error,Im thinking I should contact the chinese they have all the solutions and make things work,
thanks for the reply

Im based in Scotland can you recomend anyone?

Update - According to Comand online the fitting of the facelif lights isnt possible on pre facelift car and if they were to try it, it would cost thousands, they ouldnt gurantee it would work after changing parts and labour costs,so now ya know
My friend in china can do it,but im in scotland, bummer,so till i find someone who can do it in the uk it will be Chinese aftermarket multibeam plug and play for this wee project, they look and work just as good if not better tbh,I have a set and tried them on the car,but thought id give the OEM a try :)
