C Class AMG Sport Plus Rear Lip Boot Spoiler Wanted !!!!

Just had a thought about this has anyone who has fitted the spoiler spoken to their insurance company?

Was wondering as I'm looking at quotes for next year and surely this would be classed as a modification?

So finally got it installed and very pleased with results.

FedEx charges are

VAT - £5.18
Admin/Handling Fee - £10.75

Invoice can be paid online, cheque, phone or bank transfer

I've been hit with the same charge today.

I called Fedex and told them that the charges they have sent me are an additional 60% of the goods actual value which is scandalous, as VAT equates to 20% (£5) as it should, but their charge equates to 40% (£10) which is disgusting, when you take into consideration that they have already been paid for the delivery by the seller (so the contract is between Fedex and the seller), where as my contract is between me and the seller which already included postage, so as there is no agreed contract between myself and Fedex and it wasn't my choice to use them, I therefore shouldn't have to pay it their charges, on top of which in effect they are being paid twice for the privilege of shipping the item.

The guy who I spoke to at FedEx agreed with me but said he only works for Fedex and doesn't make the rules but agreed to reduce the cost, however the Fedex IT system wouldn't let him remove the charge completely, so I ended up paying £5 VAT and only £3 handling fee so £8 in total.

I know it's only a few quid but to me it was the principal of it but worth a phone call as the £7 I've saved is better in my pocket than Fedex's.

Just fitted mine!

Didn't quite get the ends lined up as well as I would like - I heated it up as suggested but the end moved slightly as I pressed the spoiler down

Still pleased with the results though
