Hi there and thanks for letting me join the forum, I’ve had my c class coupe for about a year now and I love it, but I have a problem with my centre console door, went to close it but it won’t click in into place like normal and the door stays up. Looked inside and discovered a metal pin has come off from inside but I don’t know where from has anybody had a similar experience of this ? Any help would be greatly appreciated 30CEA63B-8F2A-4D32-B349-8A06FEF00881.jpeg

Removing a loose fuel receipt was sufficient to make the metal locking pin come away. In my case their was a faint rattle from within the door/lid and the door refused to close. It looks as though the trim in the picture is the same black ash as mine so here goes. The quick and untried fix is to slide off the ash trim from the door for access to the fixing position of the locking pin which is above the 12V supply. It is a fiddle to wriggle the pin back into three plastic fittings (the bent bit goes in the small hole). Also the door will remain fully sprung which may add to the difficulty. In my case I removed the centre console (there is a useful video on line) and detached the 'ash tray' box. Only four screws, some careful prising and wire to 12v supply. On the bench released the tension in each of two door springs then removed the trim on the door. As you can imagine access and testing is much easier. Hope this is of help if it happens to you.
