PFC said:Has anyone replaced their W203 C-Class headlamps with the new style clear lens lamps?
Was it a straight swap and what did you pay for them?
Thanks
Peter
buellwinkle said:I didn't change them but Gaston at Autoclass.net sells them for $450 US for a pair. Most people that like that look also like the bi-xenons better and when you are going through that much trouble to remove the bumper to change the light you might as well go 1st class.

I replaced my lamps for the clear xenons, and clear fog lamps. if you are carefull you dont have to remove the bumber completely, just need to get in side the wing on each side by removing the plastic liner, Stealers updated the software for free and aligned the units so they would pass an MOT. all for free. No self levelling, but not been flashed once by on coming traffic, no washer jets either.
They really make a big difference to the look of the car and the xenons are great at night.
It is a legal requirement for manufacturers to fit self-levelling and washers, it is still unclear whether this is required for aftermarket applications.I thought it was a legal requirement that Xenon headlights had to have self levelling and washers......
